A few days ago, I visited “Rose Town” (Meigui Xiaozhen) located in Dapeng New District (Dapeng Peninsula) of Shenzhen, and I’d like to share what it’s like with you.

Rose Town was first established in 1983. In its early days, it served as the No.1 Industrial Zone of Dapeng New District in Shenzhen, where red-brick factory buildings of the “three-in-one” type (integrating workshops, dormitories, and canteens) were scattered everywhere.
Later, while preserving the old red-brick walls and the main structure of the original factory buildings, Rose Town was renovated into a European-style photography park. Inside the park, there are not only clusters of European-style churches and streets, but also Chinese-style courtyards and multiple themed shooting venues. Today, Rose Town has become a highly popular photo-check-in spot.
〇 Address

Currently, there is no subway access to Dapeng New District, so the only way to get there is by bus or private car.
If you’re departing from near “Huaqiang Road” in Shenzhen, you can take Bus Route E26 and get off at the “Dapeng Central 1” bus stop. After that, you can reach Rose Town on foot.
※ Note: During peak seasons such as public holidays, severe traffic jams may occur along the way. It is recommended that you allow plenty of time for your journey.
