【Dongguan】Attended the Huawei Cloud APAC Partner Connection Summit

Recently, I was invited by Huawei to attend the “Huawei Cloud APAC Partner Connection Summit 2024” held in Dongguan, China.

In this article, I will share my experience of the event. The event took place at Huawei’s R&D campus in Songshan Lake, Dongguan.

Partners from various countries across the Asia-Pacific region gathered to deepen their relationships.

In addition to the main event, there were campus tours and an annual awards ceremony, making it a lively and grand event.

About the Songshan Lake Campus

The Songshan Lake campus, located within the Songshan Lake High-tech Industrial Development Zone in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, is a hub for high-tech industries and research and development.

Many domestic and international IT companies and research institutions are concentrated here, with active projects in telecommunications, cloud computing, and AI.

Huawei utilizes this campus as one of its major R&D centers in China.

Journey to the Songshan Lake Campus in Dongguan

First, I took the high-speed train from Shenzhen Station to Dongguan Station, which took about 40–50 minutes.

Upon arrival at Dongguan Station, I transferred to a shuttle bus heading to the Songshan Lake campus.

By bus, it takes approximately 2 hours to reach the destination.

I arrived at the Songshan Lake campus in the evening due to the long travel time.

Huawei’s R&D center resembles a large theme park.

It appears that services and technologies deployed worldwide are developed here.

Conference Session

I attended seminars on Huawei Cloud’s services, technologies, and future initiatives.

I was impressed by the deployment of Huawei Cloud’s latest services across many countries, including China and Southeast Asia.

Summary

Through this event, I gained a clearer understanding of Huawei’s vision for the future of cloud and AI, as well as the direction of collaboration with partner companies.

In a rapidly changing technological environment, staying informed about such developments provides valuable insights for future business and development.

The expanding cloud ecosystem centered around China is certainly one to watch.
