Recently, I had the opportunity to attend the IBNS (International Business Networking Shenzhen), an international networking event held in Shenzhen. Here’s a recap of the event and what it was like.

IBNS is a premium international business community established to bring together entrepreneurs, professionals, and business leaders from around the world, right in the heart of Shenzhen.
The community is regularly supported by chambers of commerce, international business associations, and other major networking groups, with events hosted in Shenzhen on a recurring basis.
The community organizer of IBNS is Mr. Emmanuel Avemegan, co-founder of IBNS.
Based in Shenzhen, he is also the CEO of a telecommunications, fiber optic, and data center company.
Beyond that, he is involved in the trading of mineral resources (copper, coal, iron ore, etc.), oil, and gas, and even operates a bar here in Shenzhen.

The event took place at The Langham, Shenzhen, located in the Futian district.
This is the directory board located on the event floor.
We completed the check-in at the entrance of the event venue.
Since our company is an IT business, we waited near this table until the event started.
At other tables, participants from a wide range of industries—manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, e-commerce, beverages, and marketing—were present.
There was still some time before the guest speaker session began, so we took the opportunity to network.

Mr. Alexander Kholodny is an expert in international trade and logistics and the owner of Unimretch International Group of Companies.
He has over 15 years of experience in trade and logistics with China, handling more than 5,000 containers annually. The group’s revenue in 2024 reached USD 75 million, with operations in Russia, China, Africa, and Arab countries.
He is also a member of the Equitum Millionaires Club, a lecturer at HSE University, has spoken at the Russian Chamber of Commerce, and serves as the official representative of Russia’s national traceability system “Chestny ZNAK” in China.
After the guest speaker session, networking continued. I estimate there were nearly 100 participants in attendance.
During the networking, attendees also enjoyed food.
As time passed, even more participants arrived.
We took a group photo to commemorate the event.
Overall, the IBNS event was a valuable experience. Entrepreneurs, business owners, and executives from diverse backgrounds and nationalities came together, creating a lively and international atmosphere filled with conversations in English, Chinese, and more.
