Recently, our team from Beyond, including members from Japan, visited Tencent\u2019s limited-time event, “Penguin Island”, held in Futian, Shenzhen.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a giant Tencent penguin character prominently displayed at the entrance.<\/p>\n

It was large and adorable, making it a perfect spot for a commemorative photo.<\/p>\n

We explored the event venue while experiencing Tencent\u2019s services and technologies firsthand.<\/p>\n

There were also displays introducing the history of Shenzhen.<\/p>\n

WeChat\u2019s \u201cPalm Payment\u201d<\/h3>\n

By simply placing your palm over the scanning area of the payment device, you can make a payment easily without using a smartphone.<\/p>\n

Of course, there is no need to physically touch the device with your hand.<\/p>\n

Introduction to Tencent\u2019s Future Headquarters<\/h3>\n

We viewed a 3D display of \u201cPenguin Island\u201d, which is expected to be the location of Tencent\u2019s future headquarters.<\/p>\n

The site covers approximately 1.3 million square meters, with a total investment of 31.9 billion yuan, making it an extremely large-scale project.<\/p>\n

It is scheduled to be fully completed by 2028 and is expected to accommodate 75,000 office workers.<\/p>\n
